Father’s Day gift to make for husband
I want to make a Father’s day gift for my husband from our children. They are a little young to make something (well our two year old is going to help, but our four week old can’t help yet). I was thinking something like both of their foot prints on a canvas and framing it or even making a scrap book page with our children’s pictures on it and framing it. He loves things like that, but I’m not sure what to do!
Ideas anyone? What creative things are you doing for your husband or father for Father’s Day?

make him a shirt with the hand and foot prints of your kids on it.
you can go to a pottery store and paint a mug (with your toddler).
food! a steak, a cake, breakfast, anything he especially likes.
write a peom, type it up and print it on nice papper, then frame it.

The best Fathers Day gift my kids ever made for me was a T-shirt of thier hand prints. I wore that for nearly 7 years everyday on fathers day.

footprints/handprint’s on canvas sounds like a good idea
maybe you could take some pictures of the kid’s while they are doing it as well

I agree with the dad who said a t-shirt with hand prints.
I made one for my hubby a few years back and he STILL wears it on father’s day! My youngest was only a couple months old at the time, so I actually used his footprints, and then the older two used hand prints. Just make sure you use t-shirt paint so it won’t wash off!

a coupon book, made of colored paper and tied with string. You write: To Dad, this coupon entitles you to one restful night sleep. then put the foot print as signatures and a hand print. To Dad: One whole day of not being naughty or saying no. more hand prints. To Dad: one night out with mommy. more foot prints.
To Dad: this coupon entitles you to an uninterrupted night of passion with mommy, I think you get the picture.
Set him up a digital frame of photos that you know he’ll like.

I love the coupon book idea….my friend did it for her husband with her kids. It included things like breakfast in bed, a coupon to be showered with hugs and kisses for at least 10 minutes, going to a sports event with daddy, helping to wash the car. Silly stuff, but what she did was keep all of the coupons that were handmade by the kids and with each event that was on a coupon she took pictures with her camera and later made a scrapbook for her husband with an insert of the coupon and pictures from that day on each page. He will one love the whole idea that everyone was involved in making tickets to cater to him and then he was later reminded of this silly things with the scrapbook. HE LOVED IT.

Well this year since my husband enjoys cooking I got him and our two little boys cooking aprons, which I had embroidered with there names. Getting kid sized ones for my boys. You could take that idea if he loves to grill and buy one, and stamp there feet print on it and write daddy, with a cute little saying.
The year before that I purchased a blank white baseball pennant, and stencil-ed on it and id said Daddy’s Little Boy with some trains, lizards, etc. boy stuff…
I enjoy doing gifts that can be used, as well as displayed for sentimental values!as well as something to incorporate dad and the kids.
